About Me
For anyone on the outside looking in on gaming friendships, they can seem extremely strange and downright confusing. Slang can add further confusion and lead you to believe that these people must be insane. While I cannot shed light on every instance, I can relate my own experiences and possibly help with some understanding.
In my post, Much Ado about Nothing, I talk about how this all started for me and yes, it is true we used to save data on cassette tapes. While I am still learning to understand this mystical land of online gaming friendships and how to explain them, not only to myself but to others, I feel this is the perfect opportunity to learn more about myself and my friends; and hopefully clear up some misconceptions about online gaming friends.

Growing up in south Florida during the explosion of computer and console gaming has given me lifelong friendships. During my years with the military and even deployments, to sandy patches of earth, we maintained contact. In 2007 several of us decided to attend a gaming convention and even witnessed a wedding between two gamers, who were of course in costume. |
With my 50th birthday just around the corner, I have decided to give myself an early birthday present. Not only am I experiencing the trials and tribulations of attending a university and finishing my education, but this summer I will be traveling to Europe with one purpose in mind. To meet the friends I haven’t yet and to experience for myself some of the cultural differences they have spoken about over the years.
Call me crazy or even insane, but these friends have provided support when I needed it most and I feel have helped me grow as a person, the very least I can do is go for a visit. So, if you would like to follow along on this little adventure your more than welcome. Drop a like, leave a comment or even pass this along but most importantly tell your friends you care about them and appreciate them.
